Thanks to the guys a UK Business Forums most of the Free tags went within the first couple of days. The offer is now closed. Remember, the site is still a Google PageRank of 5!

10/02/2006  TagSponsor.com introduces multiple word tags...

After much debate (and public demand!) you can now sponsor a tag containing a maximum of three words instead of just one. We had many people contact us who wanted to order tags with more than one word. This will hopefully give everyone a little more flexibility to when trying to decide what tag to sponsor.

01/02/2006  Solid start for TagSponsor

Ok, just less than a month old and TagSponsor is already getting some attention. We've got a few mentions on relevant blogs, tech sites and business forums which have all helped to increase traffic to the site. We've also had a few comments from people who think we're copying another site called 1000tags.com. To put this to rest once and for all (i've lost count of how many times i've explained this!), this site is not a copy of 1000tags.

Yes, the idea is similar but TagSponsor was already over half built when 1000tags launched. At the time the domain tagsponsor.com had not been registered and so a quick decision was taken to take the plunge and see what happened. The domain was purchased and the site went live.
